Deploy the documentation site
Docusaurus builds the documentation into static files. Build the site from the repository root:
npm run docs:build
The generated website is in docs/build/. The repository includes a Netlify configuration, so connecting it to Netlify automatically builds and deploys the documentation site.
Netlify
Create a new site from the repository. The root netlify.toml already configures these settings:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Base directory | docs |
| Build command | npm run build |
| Publish directory | build |
| Node version | 20 or newer |
Netlify provides the production site URL to the build as the URL environment variable. Docusaurus uses it for canonical links and sitemap generation; no manual URL change is required after Netlify assigns a domain.
Vercel
Create a project from the repository and configure:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Root directory | docs |
| Build command | npm run build |
| Output directory | build |
| Node version | 20 or newer |
Set the public site URL
Once you know the final public URL, update the url field in docs/docusaurus.config.ts to that origin (for example, https://docs.example.com). Keep baseUrl set to / when the site is hosted at a domain or subdomain root. If it is hosted under a path, set baseUrl to that path, including its leading and trailing slashes.
Build again after changing the URL and base path, then deploy the newly generated docs/build/ directory.
